Jeff Russell is the president and CEO of Delta Dental of Iowa. With more than 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, he has led companies of a variety of sizes: from start-ups to established companies embarking on transformation efforts.

Prior to Delta Dental, Jeff led a variety of companies in the banking and payments industry. He was president and CEO of TMG Financial Services, a credit union service organization (CUSO) specializing in agent issuing programs for community‑based financial institutions and associations. He was the first employee and helped the company grow to be one of the 30th largest Mastercard issuers in the United States and earn a spot on the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing companies in 2012. Jeff’s experience also includes serving as chief strategy officer of Affiliates Management Company, as well as having held various senior management positions for The Members Group, a financial technology and payments CUSO, helping to grow the company from $7 million in revenue to more than $100 million prior to its sale to CO-OP Financial Services.
In the financial services industry, he served on the board for payments startup Dwolla and on the board of advisors for IQR Analytics. He was faculty member for NACUSO at Pepperdine and a member of the inaugural Filene i3 group, driving innovation in the credit union industry.
Devon brings over 15 years of credit union experience to Direct Federal. Devon is the Chief Operating Officer at Direct. In this role he oversees Deposit Operations, workflow efficiencies, Regulatory Compliance, and Human Resources. Prior to joining Direct, Devon was the Director of Education at NAFCU. When Devon is not looking for ways to improve the work or providing industry insights, he spends his time with his bride Stephanie traveling the world, or at the dog park with his two dogs Peppermint, and Chewbacca.
“Credit Union Joe” is a proud University of Iowa Hawkeye with over 11 years of experience in politics, financial services, corporate social responsibility, sports marketing and technology. Cary has spent his whole career working with US financial institutions. Most recently with GDS Link where he grew revenue, including the largest contract to date, by providing lending solutions to banks, credit unions, and fintechs. Cary also worked with early stage companies such as Synapse, one of the first bank-as-a-service fintech providers and prior to that, headed up sales for Monitise America, an early provider of mobile banking. Cary spent part of his career with consulting firms CGI & PWC where he ran the Financial Services growth teams, and FIS where he was responsible for relationships & revenue growth for top 10 US banks.
Cary has an extensive background and hands-on experience across all aspects of banking and payments. He holds a Computer Science degree from Cal Poly’s School of Engineering. Cary & his wife live in California’s central coast wine country.

Andy started working in the banking industry in 1990, moved into the banking software industry in 1994, and has been with Finastra since 1996. He has worked in various divisions as an implementation analyst, product analyst and most recently as a lead product manager for Fusion Phoenix.
As a product analyst, his focus was on loan servicing and technical features, and expanded into a managerial role overseeing a group of up to eight (8) product analysts. He moved into a product manager role in 2016 working on a student lending project for two years, and returning as a lead product manager for Fusion Phoenix in 2018.
Andy is a former credit union CEO who maintains his passion for the industry. While CEO, he led his CU through mergers, branch remodels, technology upgrades, a name change and was recognized as one of the top workplaces in the area. Over the past four years his focus has shifted to helping credit unions compete with FinTech’s and megabanks. He has worked with hundreds of institutions across the country, from the smallest credit unions to multi-billion dollar banks all with one goal in mind…to help them compete with the FinTechs and maintain a local presence in their community.
While not at work, Andy spends time with his wife and four boys enjoying the great outdoors, watching his kids in sports and of course the Iowa Hawkeyes!
Josh Cook is considered a visionary leader and creative thinker. Josh started with Community Choice CU (CCCU) in 2002 as the Marketing Manager and has expanded his role to include everything from marketing to branch operations with plenty in between. During his twenty years at CCCU he has gained considerable attention for his creative work amassing over forty national marketing awards.

As an undergraduate, Tim studied both Business and Music and earned his Bachelor of Science from North Central University in 2004. Tim is active in his local church and volunteers in the local community. He now resides in the Houston area.
